They have won the Society of Authors’ Olive Cook Award, the Royal Society of Literature’s V S Pritchett Prize, and a Northern Writers' Award, and been shortlisted and longlisted for many other prizes.
She worked as a journalist in New York and Chicago, was a contributing editor with Marie Claire, and curated the excellent Litfest.
Carys will be performing at Manchester Museum from 6pm on 14th May 2015.
